Yes, social media marketing aims at gaining more followers, so that your reach becomes vast and spread world wide. The number of followers you have should definitely be more than the number of people you follow. But dont go for any cheap follower gaining methods, for Facebook is strictly against this. Getting fake followers to your FB account only is waste of time and money. Post genuine posts to your page, and gain followers thus. In business pages, go for posting giveaways, coupons, customer feedback forms etc.
