I want to meet new people on twitter? What is the best way of doing so? FYI I just joined twitter.

You can start by searching for keywords that interest you on the search function on Twitter at

But that doesn't mean that someone that posted a tweet about "apple pancakes" is really an expert on it or keeps tweeting about food.
The best way to look for interesting guys is using Twitter directories like http://wefollow.com - there you have extended profiles and see popular Twitter accounts sorted by topic and popularity.
