The best way is to use social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace. However forums designed for sharing YouTube videos and channels are good places to look too. Just google "YouTube Forums" and I'm sure a few will pop up.

-Tell others
-Advertise (forums and websites)
-Spread the word about your video
-Make something people enjoy watching
-Be professional
-Do no give up. Eventually you will make it.
-Be consistent (update weekly)
-Post content on Facebook or Twitter
