So I know that Twitter has removed the ability to set animated avatars, I heard there are ways to get around this but I'm not sure. A few of my friends have animated avatars, even when before Twitter changed, they didn't, but they are still able to use them. They tell me to use mobile twitter but that doesn't work. Anyone know of any other way to do this?

According to Twitter - no new animated avatars are allowed.
But old animated avatars before they banned them are still allowed. http://mashable.com/2012/09/20/twitter-animated-gifs-policy/
