Lol.. So there is a hashtag trending on twitter that says "if Santa was Asian", and people are arguing that it should be "if Santa were Asian". SO which is the right form? Was or were?

It's an example of the SUBJUNCTIVE mood. It should be ... If Santa were Asian.
