How do you apologize for this? - Sweetie - 10-11-2012 08:25 PM

Twitter is like a big deal in my city and i use it everyday. But anyways today i tweeted about hating my mom and used a word that i definitely shouldn't have used when referring to someone you love. Someone thought itd be cute to go and tell her i tweeted it and shes really heartbroken that id do that to her. I didn't mean it and im really sorry. what should i do to apologize?

Just tell her 'mom I'm really sorry I said that. I didn't mean it I was just very frastrated at the time and shouldn't have done it, I love you and wish I could take it back.

Forgiveness is something that can be granted to you, when asked for it, but usually, takes time for whatever the person felt by the hurt to truly move on. Obviously, some people are better at 'forgive and forget' than others, and sadly, moms take to heart a lot of things.

I'm sure deep down you knew when you said it (or tweeted it) that you didn't mean it - you were just acting on whatever feeling you felt at the time. And perhaps you had already calmed down a bit by the time that the tweet had gotten to her attention. But hey, we all say things we truly don't mean, but in the moment, feels right to let it out.

Just love on your mom and sincerely apologize to her and let her see your heart in all of this. It may take a few days for her to feel better, but all you can do is come to her apologetically and explain to her that you are sorry. You may want to explain why you did it and make it a point to her that you were acting out of frustration and not how you truly feel deep down.

Good luck!

Tell her "Mom I am Sooo sorry for what I said, I didn't mean it. Someone told me it would be cute and I believed them. I shouldn't have though. I hope you can forgive me for what I said." give her a hug and make her a card or something a long the lines of that. I hope I helped and that everything worked out for you and your mom.
