What does ">" mean In texts and such? - Invert12 - 10-11-2012 08:27 PM I always see it in twitter, for example "drinking and not going to class >" I know it's a greater than sign, but nothings after it so it doesn't make sense. - Vamp - 10-11-2012 08:35 PM It's used in two ways. Dog>cat. I like dogs better than cats. Dogs are better than cats Dog> I like dogs. Dogs are good. In your example someone is indicating that "drinking and not going to class" is a good or fun thing. The opposite is < which is used in the same way to indicate that something is not good or nice. |
