what could I do to improve my YouTube channel? - MusicIsTheLanguageOfUsAll - 01-23-2013 02:46 PM

I'm a 16 year old semi-professional singer/songwriter, don't really have the spare cash to buy a really good quality video camera as I'm saving to go abroad and gig next year. - how do I use YouTube to build a fan base? I've only ever used Facebook and twitter. Any tips? Smile

At the moment, my videos look/sound like this (I'm not much of a pianist, I'm primarily a guitarist but it was a request x)

Cheers Smile

When it comes to becoming popular on youtube, advertising is key. try posting links on other sites and build attention that way-just dont spam

Well maybe you should do some covers for Justin Bieber music, maybe you don't like him, but fans will watch them and you'll have more Subscribers. And after like 2 -3 covers of JB's songs, you can post some songs you really like and maybe your subscribers will like them too.and voila!

Better lighting, not bright so we only see a white screen but enough.

people enjoy funny and frequent videos, its also better to have a sharing chain ( a group of people that literally share your video EVERYWHERE , its also nice to use a lot of tag words so that even if its not the subject of your video its out there )
