Does facebook text alerts use data for Verizon? - hollowable235 - 01-23-2013 05:09 PM

I just got the LG Cosmo and it has a social networking feature with facebook and twitter. I know facebook has a text alerts system and I believe this is that system built into the phone. I have unlimited text option however I am curious if the Facebook text alerts system uses any data charge towards the phone.

your incorrect...

the Facebook and Twitter, what you call "social network features", are not features... they are APPs... they are NOT texts alerts... it is a data charged and drive app!... and since you have no data plan, you will be charged data pay per use if you click these apps....

FB and twitter SMS alerts are started on the website on a computer or laptop in your account settings... then text alerts and updates are sent to your phone via Text Messaging... not data or these these apps....

but, you can always ignore me... and see you in my store, maybe, crying over a massive phone bill in 20-30 days.... enjoy!
