Can the average invetsor purchase FB stocks now? - write2christian - 01-24-2013 12:19 PM

I have never purchased stock but i have been doing some research. I think Facebook's IPO will be more than just a bubble, but can anyone just purchase their stock yet?
Is E-Trade a good website to purchase stock via online Brokers?

yes. today was the IPO so you can officially buy fb. alot of analyst are saying to stay away. If that advice holds true you might be better off selling short.

yes you can, but there is no hurry. many more shares are going to get dumped on the market in 90 and 180 days as insiders sell. keep in mind some have to sell just to raise the money to pay the taxes on the options they exercised.

many insiders are trying to cash out today. the $38 price had to be propped up today. if it falls below 38, people who got it allocated to them at the 38 ipo price will get anxious to dump it.

the European crisis is pulling all stocks down right now, so it is likely all these factors will provide you with a lower entry point if you are patient.

i would recommend that you should wait for some time..and before investing or buying a stock you must go check its credibility. And do good research before buying stocks. if you have never purchased stock then you must increase your knowledge by visiting the following links, its really helpful..

That's the whole point of an IPO, to make it available on public markets. Whether or not it will be a good investment has yet to be seen and is in serious doubt.
