Economic Problems:
More money needed for pensions, residential homes, making the environment safe for the elderly
Less people in the workforce
Less people paying income taxes so these taxes will go up
A change in the job sectors -bigger market for elderly services
More money spent on new technology for elderly

Social Consequences:
More people have to look after parents etc as residential housing prices rise
Wages should go up with less people in the workforce
People may lose jobs that no longer profit
People will be annoyed at increase in income taxes to pay for elderly
It will mean the elderly become more integrated into communities as they take on jobs etc
Retirement age will increase to cater for jobs
There will be more measures in place to reduce age discrimination in the work place
Healthcare could improve as new technology is developed to solve aging issues

Sorry its not much but it should give you a few ideas.Try looking it up on Google and in textbooks. Find the economic and social issues with aging and try to link them. Also once you have economic issues try to think about what could be a conseuqence of the issue

Good Luck Smile
