Girl it's easy! If you have Facebook, it's kinda like that, just doing loads of status', just tweet/post what you're doing etc.
You can follow celebrities, if you type a celeb's name in the 'Search' bar in the right top corner and they have a blue tick next to their name, that means it's their official twitter.
Also hash tag stuff as well. For example: #Nowplaying Maroon 5 - One more night
