So I have been talking to this girl on twitter a lot lately. She goes to the same college as me, but we haven't really got to talk in person. I like her a lot, and I'm just wondering if it would be too straight forward to ask for her number and to go out and get to know each other better one day soon. I'm just not sure what to do.

Dont be afraid to ask, the least she can do is say no. Dont be afraid of rejection . Its just another part of life.

Casually give her your number and tell her to hit you up sometime.
"Hey my number is 000-000-000, you should give me a call sometime and we can go out for lunch"
it's casual, doesn't hint at a date
