im planning on getting the chromebook, i was wondering, can it download programs? Cuz im a commenter on youtube and record gameplay, so could it download the software for my hd pvr?

You use extensions for the chrome browser on the chrome webstore..

The idea is that operating system the chrome browser. Just a little more enhanced..
But when you look at it, video and music codecs are built into the browser. you can listen to music and watch videos in from your sd card on chrome. You can watch netflix, use twitter, facebook, go on your dating sites.
Google has a free way of working on homework with google docs. You can work on stuff like that offline and send emails and it syncs up as soon as you hit an internet connection.
