Please tell me this is not a college class. That is the most pointless assignment I have heard of in twenty years of teaching. Oh wait--I just saw a question from someone assigned to create a Facebook page for "A Comedy of Errors"--that may be worse. To your teacher--you cannot instill a love and appreciation of great writing by dumbing it down to 140 characters. Trying to "integrate" literature with an instant-messaging format does a disservice to both. You should be trying to guide your students into the richness and complexities of such a work of genius. Instead you are pandering to technological gadgetry. Shame.
