Please help me I am worried sick about virus? - Nena - 01-27-2013 03:48 PM

I need help with virus issues?
I downloaded a virus I from a youtube video. It's a zip file.. I didn't extract it. I juz open it and than suddenly my Avira antivirus pops out and so I remove anything it said. The problem is, my search engine and my fb, twitter, yahoo mail and everything is signing out by itself, i mean, it looks like it had been reset. My fb has log out by itself and even been locked . Facebook said "for security reasons, your account have been locked". I alsoI have to sign in again for all things like youtube, fb, , tumblr, twitter. Few of my bookmarks are also been removing. So I don't know what's happening. So far, there's no problem with my laptop. I am worried sick. Please help me any computer technician. Thanks

cookies being cleared will cause you to need to sign in to all accounts again so that's unlikely it's a virus. Your facebook being locked could mean there was a hack attempt. Get it unlocked and change your passwords! download malwarebytes and run a full scan (free) to double check your not infected.

Sounds like a Trojan virus your screwed its gotten Into anything it can on your comp and is getting in elsewhere I'd unplug the infected computer from the Internet ASAP stop downloading sketchy files and get on a safe computer not in your house those on the network may be infected too and try and change your passwords

Are you sure that's a virus? Usually, getting a virus doesn't mean getting locked out of your Facebook account. You can download Norton antivirus software to block viruses. And remember to not download random stuff over the internet...

Go onto techsupportforum.com. They have professionals on there that helped me get rid of a similar virus. They will give you links to safe downloads to find and destroy the virus. Also, restart your computer and tap f8 when it's booting until a menu pops up. Go to safe mode with networking and do everything from there. I hate viruses so good luck, hope this helps!

My virus also had something to do with accounts. I would clean the laptop, and then use my online account, and within 3 days, another virus was brought onto my laptop. The first was win32:adware-gen, and it brought on NSIS:Bundlore-C and others.

And also, the tech support guy I talked to had me download Malwarebytes first, so I recommend that.

Hi,

Do not worry, just carry on and stay out of facebook for 24 hours. Always keep your browser settings in such a way that the history is cleared after every exit.
