Can someone reveal your identity over Twitter? - Tom - 01-27-2013 06:33 PM

There's this guy who created a Twitter account to talk about the funny/random stuff that happens at his school. From the tweets I've read, they're not vulgar or anything like that, just humorous observations. Anyways, I'm just wondering, is there any way the school can force him to shut down the account or find out who he is? Again, he's not posting harsh stuff on there or anything (like publicly exposing people, or talking bad about the school) just random observations in general.

And no, this "guy" is not me, I'm just curious about this type of stuff.

TY

as long as he is not insulting anyone in any way, posting nude pictures of anyone, or bullying anyone in anyway, than this "guy" is fine to keep doing what he's doing.

The school could make a general order for "whoever" owns it to shut down but they can't force him to do anything. If they try it's a violation of his legal rights and he can either sue or enact other legal action. Schools don't have even 1/10th of the power they think they do :3
