Am I cheating ?guys mainly please? - shaebutter - 01-27-2013 06:56 PM

I always got along with guys better then girls. I have plenty of male friends. Unfortunately I got caught up without realizing my conversations were inappropriate and getting out of hand. I never had sex with anybody but my husband. I had inappropriate conversations but to me they were just words, but I hurt my husband feelings and I never meant to do that. I got caught up and I didn't realize how bad I was. My husband being hurt woke me up.I immediately deleted my facebook, twitter and I changed my number. I cut every guy out that made my husband uncomfortable within a day. I know it will take him time but my question is was that considered cheating and if so do I have a good chance of working my marriage out because I don't ever plan to do that again after I saw how it hurt my husband?

yes, it was....and i know you said you don't plan to do it again, but i think it is part of your personality, and you thrive on the attention you get from the other men....for his sake...i hope i am wrong

Well i think cheating is having a physical relationship with someone while currently in a relationship. So no you havent cheated. I praise you for getting the men out if your life. Im hoping youd do anything for your husband and you have. Just have a chat with him and express your feelings and he will forgive you.

inappropriate words/conversations counts as cheating.

so yes, you cheated.

Yes, you do have a chance for working out your marriage. You obviously feel remorse for your actions, know it was wrong and put an end to. You're trying and he will see that. As for as cheating, I don't know. What exactly is inappropriate? Were you knowingly hitting on these guys and/or turned on by them when this was going on? Depending on what exactly it was, I would say yes that it was cheating. You shouldn't need another man's attention that way when you have a husband. But I do think you can save your marriage.

You weren't physically cheating but you my-swell say you have been if you suggested doing random sexual acts to these guys, you need to be more careful about your actions towards people it's not appropriate to talk about intimate things with anyone else other than your husband, you have probably broken his trust and you'll have to work hard at getting it back relationships don't repair themselves.

If it was "just talking" (with zero intent to act and no feelings for the other person involved) it wasn't cheating, but it still wasn't appropriate and it can still be very damaging to your relationship...

As for whether or not you can work things out with your husband, only time will tell...no one here can tell you when or if he'll forgive (we don't know him)....it IS a step in the right direction that you discontinued contact with everyone you communicated inappropriately with...

Yes, it is cheating. Two things separate marriage from platonic relationships. One being sex and the other is conversations that should be reserved for your spouse. My ex wife had such an affair. She told me what you have said here - things just got out of control before I realized what was going on. I say BS! We were about 2 years into our marriage and this woman at work was coming on to me. I put a stop to it well before anything could have happened. Sorry, but you can see these things coming from ten miles away.

Cheating is what some one else does not like you doing. If you have no problem with it then it is their problem.
