I am getting an Xbox 360 slim for Xmas and I want to know if I can get on Facebook and Twitter off of it.
I saw on the box it said Internet Explorer but are there individual apps for Facebook and Twitter?

There is an Facebook app on Xbox LIVE, and Internet Explorer app too that will let you go to both. Just do a Bing search on your Xbox 360 and it will come up.

I know that there is a facebook app but i do not know about twitter. You should be able to get on twitter in the safari.

There is a Facebook app, but no Twitter, but you can use iExplorer to access Twitter.
