How to get a blog noticed? - Dylan - 01-29-2013 09:01 AM

How do you get a blog noticed? My blog is about a virtual world btw. Also, I do not want to use sites like twitter and facebook. Any tips?

There are plenty of blogging forums. Here are the few that I use:

Blogcatalogue
Bloggeries
Bloggers

If you use Blogger, here is the official blogger google group: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!categories/blogger/the-coffee-shop

Just post in places like these, ask for advice, give advice and also, visit other blogs. If you follow and comment on other people's blogs, they might do the same for you. Don't say something like, "Nice blog, visit mine?" It sounds so desperate and many bloggers hate this. Read the blogs, make credible comments etc.

Don't give up though, many people give up very quickly because they don't have many readers. It just takes a bit of time and extra effort, that's all.

Social bookmarking may be your best bet. I would also use sites like answers and craigslist to shop the idea around. Tumblr is also a great place as pictures seem to drive the site and with a virtual world I am sure you have or can get some excellent images to post on there. Best of luck.
