Er, I'm new to twitter, and I have 4 people I am following..When I click direct message, and the drop down arrow, only 1 of the people I am following is listed there..and it's not the one I want to send a message to..why is this?
Ah I see now..I feel silly thanks for clearing that up.

Because of the people you're following only one person is following you too so that is the only person you can message. But if the others started following you too, then you could message them.
