Can employers find random comments that you make on blogs? - Isabeau - 01-31-2013 05:35 AM

If i am surfing around and make a comment on someone's blog, will an employer be able to find it if I use a different name? Do they had sophisticated searches that use your computer address? Not very tech-savy and I will be in the job market soon. Also, can they look at this yahoo answers stuff? If so, how do I delete my yahoo answers account?

Thank you thank you!

They can find a lot of information on you just from your e-mail address. Try searching your e-mail address online and see what it comes up with.

Also, there's a website called Spokeo.com where you can run your name and location and come up with A LOT of information on yourself available to anyone online. That same website allows you to conceal THEIR information on you at your request. Click on their "Privacy" link at the bottom of the page and give them the URL (website address) of THEIR web page that has your information on it.

With just a small amount of information on you, it's possible to locate your blogs, your comments, your Facebook profile, etc.
