So yesterday , I got this android tablet in the mail for my dad as a Christmas present . I was really excited because of all the apps I thought I could get but the two main ones that I wanted won't download without google play & I can't download google play . I need Facebook & Instagram on my tablet . Is there any way to download those two apps without using google play ?

Your tablet doesn't have Google's system configuration that's why you don't have google play. I had the same problem and i was very dissapointed until i found the 1mobile market http://www.1mobile.com/ which you can download for free on your device and works like a charm with over 200.000 apps. From there you can download any app you want including Facebook and Instagram and also update them.
