How about the laws that changed banks requirements allowing them to play the stock market
That had a small affect in 2008 that still affects many people today right?

In terms of Social Security, Reagan and Congress agreed to changes recommended by the Greenspan Commission.
1) increase tax rates
2) reduce benefit levels, phased in over a long period of time
3) means test benefits
4) expand coverage to include Federal Workers such as the President, Congress, and staff.
