Royalforums website question? - Sahara - 02-01-2013 10:17 AM

It seems like people on the royalforums know so much about the royals around the world. Even I can't find any information about some of the royals and some of the users on the forums have private pictures of royals etc. Where do they get all the information etc. Ex) a sheikha got married in the uae and someone posted pictures of the invation on the forums. Is that not allowed since the person could be a very important person? I know there a lot of royals who have twitter accounts but doesn't if affect there public life?

Those pretentious snobs copy and link their information from personal website which they have hacked or otherwise duped the unsuspecting royal to add them as a friend in order to access their information. I once added James Middleton as a friend on facebook and could see updates from Pippa, Kate, William, Harry, etc. It is rather easy to do, especially if they don't care who they add.

EDIT: James has since made his profile private, and deleted half the people on his profile, including me. Sad

Well, they are likely to get their information from a variety of sources. There are royalty magazines, many books about royals (containing photographs), and of course if you live in a country with a monarchy, you will know more about that monarchy than outsiders will. You will see pictures outsiders may not see.

I have to assume that the person who posted the invitation actually received it or knew someone who did. There are so many minor royals in the Mideast that it's actually rather common to know a royal in that part of the world. Even in the US you may meet one. When I was in grad school, I knew a Saudi for two years before I found out he was a member of that royal family. There must be thousands of princes and princesses in Saudi.

Most royals of any consequence do keep their lives as private as possible, but as I said, there are various sources of information.

You know, dear Sahara, considering the veritable wealth of knowledge that exists within the four virtual walls of the hallowed Yahoo Answers Royalty section, one has absolutely no need to look elsewhere. One shall be spending the Christmas Holidays with a certain family in Norfolk later in the month and one shall be more than happy to regale ones dear friends and acquaintances on this site with details of this most auspicious occasion.

Why are you asking this HERE?

Why don't you ask it in THAT forum, since, you know, WE don't have access to those photos/stories, either.

YA royal is a motley crew with ardent monarchist, republicans and a good selection of trolls. Some members have great knowledge on the British royal family which they are happy to share and make royalty a more enlightened place. I doubt whether any one here has much connection to a real royal although sometimes a royal who has a family member reigning will contribute. Real personal information is not given here so any information you have been given will be already public knowledge.

Whenever I have a question regarding Royals, I simply ring up Lord Lucan. The dear boy is a treasure trove of information regarding the comings, goings, and sleeping arrangements of those who take themselves way too seriously.
