Here's a few tips:
- Don't be annoying
- Post content that you think people will actually watch and enjoy
- Don't be stupid
- Think before you speak
- Don't spam "like video plz" or something like that to the point where it gets annoying.

It is fine that you have created your channel in youtube. Better quality videos and on good topic always add some flavor to it. But behind that you need a good promotion that should start from the meta tags and keywords.you should put god density of keyword and to market the link posting in different sites. You may write articles, blog posts, social book marking with these keywords and lin back to your youtube channel. You may link it to other social sites. Thes all lead you to achive more subscribers in your you tube channel.
