Alright twitter lingo I need to understand!!? - awwow - 10-12-2012 02:31 AM Alright I understand how to retweet and everything but why do people put this sign - # in front of a word or phrase in their tweets I don't understand it. And why do people write "RT @ someones name" what does all of that mean? Information would be great so thanks!! - hauntedsnowfortâ„¢ - 10-12-2012 02:39 AM if you want to start a trending topic on Twitter you place # in front of a word or phrase For example #justinbeiber If you want to contribute to a trending topic do the same thing like "I heart #justinbieber" - TheGingerKid - 10-12-2012 02:39 AM RT stands for ReTweet. Which is like taking a message someone else posted on Twitter and sending it to someone else. The @ symbol indicates who it's being forwarded to. And I'm pretty sure the # sign indicates a keyword. |
