I have been running the Facebook and Twitter pages for a small local donuts bakery. The owner wants to pay me per hour, but I really don't spend hours at a time updating his status or tweeting. How or what would be an appropriate social media management fee?

If you are a beginner, then charge something lower than what other professionals charge. If you are confident of your quality in writing content, then I think it is absolutely fine to demand an industry standard fee for your posts. Good Luck!
