Twitter account privacy? - philxx99 - 02-04-2013 02:20 AM

I'm thinking of opening a twitter account as it seems a very convenient and cheap way of keeping in touch with 2 or 3 people that I need to contact on a daily basis. I do understand that Twitter is a social media and anyone can access it. However if I do open an account will I have any way of knowing who has viewed my messages? If someone literally just views my messages but takes no further action, will I know about it?

You can protect your account so only the people who "follow" you can see what you've been saying
If your account is protected people need to send a request to be able to follow you so you can keep on top of who views your page.

There is a privacy setting on twitter. If you set it to private, then only the people following you will be able to see your tweets. If it's not set to private, then random people will have access to seeing your tweets. Unfortunately though, there is no way of knowing who has viewed your tweets.
