Are big churches and televangelists another branch of corporate America? - Nathan - 02-04-2013 03:22 AM

In terms of social consciousness, concern for money, competitive strategies, marketing, etc? And if so, how so?

Niche marketing
Competition for limited resources

These mind control cults are not the keepers of some great universal truth that only they can dispense. They seek only to control your mind, your body and most importantly (to the cult) your bank account. You are nothing more than a revenue stream to these mind control cults; a tool to be controlled and manipulated into a revenue stream to keep the cult's coffers full of treasure so that the cult leaders may live in relative comfort without ever having to do an honest day's work.

Oh yeah. Televangelists and other extremist conservative churches are way more about profits and politics than the gospel of Christ.

- Rod - 02-04-2013 03:30 AM

Yes and worse.

- Mariel - 02-04-2013 03:30 AM

"big churches"? please define.

Televangelists - like Jimmy/Tammy Faye Baker; Pat Robertson; those fundamentalist charlatans?
Yes indeed.

YEC/fundamentalist/creationism/ID people are a conspiracy against Christianity. Their websites are filled with lies and misinformation.

No they are not. It only appears that way. While God is omnipotent, wonderful and all powerful, he has a serious flaw. He can't manage money. That is why ALL religions ask you to donate or give tithing. Because God needs the money. Universes don't grow on trees you know, someone has to pay for them.

No they are subjects to corporate America. Though all corporate America is not evil as some may say. Neither are all televangelists. But as you know television air-time aint cheap cuz. And since no corporations are willing to pay them to advertise during there shows its hard...

Yes. They should be taxed like any other business.
