A good laptop just for entertainment purposes? - Thierry - 02-04-2013 08:38 AM

Ok, So I'm essentially just looking for a cheap laptop that is only used for entertainment purposes e.g. Youtube, Facebook, Twitter etc.

So what brands and makes are considered good, that have a long life and don't break down easily?

Thanks

HP Pavilion g7-2240us Laptop seems good. I personally have a Toshiba but I use it for more than just entertainment purposes. But the HP Pavilion is very cheap but HP are usually made to last a long time, which my previous one did. It also has a huge screen 17.3 inches. Hope this helps. Have a nice day! Smile

If you're just using youtube, Facebook, twitter, and email...

get an iPad. Smile the thing has 10 hours of battery! it's fast. and you can take it anywhere.

If you want to get a really good laptop for this instead of a tablet...

the macbook air (link above) is the best small notebook you can get Big Grin It's WAY faster than any netbook. It's also a bit expensive Tongue but you get what you pay for.

The 3 key words you have said discount probably 95% of the ones on offer as they will not have a long life and are prone to breakdown. You can get a tablet but in my opinion there crap. There not proper computers just a gimmick. HP have some very good sized note books and meet all the requirements you have stated.

i would suggest a10 trinity series

there fast and reliable pieces of kit and are decent and hell you can even game on them

on low settins most games marked in green or some medium

i would advise a cooling pad for movies and games etc
as laptops tend to get hot all types due to not alot of fans are small enough to fit in side this is why laptops break down easy

so if you want your laptop to stay alive longer these are good

note the a10 series are very low energy efficent processors
