It something like micro blogging. It's like another version of Twitter. I signed up to promote my product, but I discontinued it. Native Blogs and Twitter is better for marketing.
You have to have followers for people to look at your posts. That's the whole point of micro blogging. So if you want to self market, gain the trust of redpectable Tumblr's and friends who are on it. CNN, Wattpad and the others won't comment because a large number of people manage it.

Basically people see your posts by following you. Its just a website where you connect with people who like the same things and get to rant about whatevers on your mind. Quite fun :-)
