It's in Japanese and I can't understand it, even with the terrible Google translate.
His past 3 or 4 tweets have been really odd and he hasn't said anything since.

Yes, you are right! His tweets are very odd and do NOT make sense even to Japanese(me).
I am sorry to say it is not a good idea if you are trying to study Japanese by following him.
