Whos better..Joe Flacco or Aaron Rodgers? - All knowing - 02-13-2013 07:25 PM

Article brings up some good points.

1. Flacco is better outdoors
2. Flacco had a better SuperBowl run(rodgers had a terrible conference title game)
3. flacco had 4 more playoff wins

Despite how Flacco played this year, I'd still have to go with Aaron-Rodgers.

if you have a list saying that flacco is better, why would you ask?........and i thought rodgers was named the best quarterback in nfl

Not even close. Rodgers

Rodgers as of right now. Flacco had a great season, obviously but Aaron Rodgers is one of those guys whose gonna be great year in and year out. Flacco may be or he may not be. We'll see how he does next year

These type of questions make me facepalm. I mean really? Flacco plays well for 1/2 of the season, and all of a sudden he is the best QB of all time?
This questions pop up every day about how Flacco is supposedly better than Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Elway, Montana, etc.

Honestly I think if you watched the NFL for more than just the playoffs you would realize that this comparison is ludacris. How about all those sub-par or average years Flacco has had?

Flacco is better at the deep ball, thats about it....

1. Now, is he better outdoors in his career OR is it just this post season?
2. Flacco's Super Bowl run was incredible. But it was just one post season. What about his other playoff starts? And what about Rodgers' other playoff starts?
3. Teams win games. Not individual players.

Flacco has had an incredible postseason run, but in order to compare him to quarterbacks such as Rodgers, Brady, Brees, and Peyton, he needs to be more consistent in the regular season. No seasons over 25 touchdowns and 4,000 yards. Rodgers and Flacco have been starting the same # of years. When comparing their stats, Flacco doesn't come close.

draw

both have a Super Bowl ring

both are clutch and dangerous

1. Aaron Rodgers had to play all his games on the road en route to the Superdome, including Soldier Field where opposing QBs usually have a tough time

2. He's played most of his career without a strong defense unlike Flacco and without any kind of running game or decent running back unlike Flacco

3. Rodgers puts up good games consistently, Flacco does every other game or so
