I know people have asked this question already. However, I still am curious as to the true meaning. Do I follow and get followed while explaining information that I wish for people to know? It's personal, not a business or anything like that.

if you like to keep updating your fb status every now and then you should join twitter on twitter you can talk about random shit happening to you and participate in currently trending topics

All social sites facilitate you to share what's going around you and what is going on in your mind. You can just share your upcoming activities with your friends and followers. Its up to you what you want to share.

It's a fast, fun and focused way to share information. Plus it saves those around us from hearing what's our head. But definitely its a boring thing for a person who don't have enough followers

I manly use my to talk to other podcast fans and see if any of my favorite shows have new episodes
if you want to read the posts of someone you Follow them but when they want to read yours they follow you
if you want to say something to someone you @ or reply to them and if you want to give private message you can Send a Direct Message
Tweeter is much like the Newsfeed section of facebook
