someone accused me of stealing their car part & threaten me..? - Joey - 02-14-2013 06:30 PM
Now i posted an ad on craigslist & i bought this car part long time ago from some dude because it was dirt cheap. i bought it just to set it on the side incase if my engine was blown. I wanted to get rid of it now because i have no used of it because my car was totaled. So then this random number ask for pics & i send them pictures thru email because i didn't have picture message. & now they all telling me it's theirs and assuming that i got rest of his parts. I mean how can you tell if its yours, the part that i have are common. He was gonna threaten to get me and kill me and stuff. So then i turn off my phone, deactivate my email & facebook because my email shows my whole name & afraid he's gonna find me & hurt me. I already sold the part later that day. Now can i sue this person for accused me of stealing??

You cannot sue someone for making an accusation. You can report a threat to the police.

So he didn't actually threaten you? But you knew he was going to? How exactly did you know that?
If his car was stolen and later turns up being sold he is entitled to accuse you of stealing his car.
It's down to you to prove you didn't steal the car.
