the notification bar is in now underneath the friends button. Any idea how to fix this?

Sounds Like its a Display Issue That Can Be Fixed Easily By Clearing your Cookies and Cachee and Delete Temporary Files Once you have Done that Than Close your Browser Reopen and Try Again
If the Problem Still Persists Try a Different Browser
