I have a request from a girl I don't know. Is it safe to accept the request? I understand obviously you can get viruses from opening email and clicking on links.

You can not get virus by opening a friend request but be careful because somebody u don't know can see your profile and pictures...Facebook and privacydon'tt go together in hand.
I wouldrecommendd not to accept unknown people.

nope. you cannot get a virus just by accepting a friend request hence, you can get it in some applications.
