So I just made a twitter account just to contact this person that I havent seen in ages. I want to send this person a private message, that nobody can read along. Is that possible on twitter, how do you do that ?

On Twitter it's called DM (Direct Message). If you're following him/her and if he/she is following you back, then you can DM eachother. Click on the guy, then click "Direct messages", then click "New message", then type in his/her username in the top box, then type in what you want to tell him/her in the bottom box.
