I read that some people make more than $4000.00 a month just having a website.I will like to know how truth is that and how can I make money

They make money off the ads. First you need a site, then you need to build your presence on the web. After that the more content & traffic your site get's the better.

Okay, the rest of the answers are all trying to sell you something in some shape or form. Here is a real answer from a real person not affiliated with another service. I won't refer you to another website or money making service.
You can make money online - you can make less than $4000 and more than $4000, but the people that actually succeed at this are the exception not the rule. And the people that do succeed have great ideas, clear ambition and perfect timing. It is a lot of work - long hours and thankless efforts combined to make trying to make money online an uphill battle.
I don't want to paint a grim picture, but in reality it is not easy and it is not guaranteed. But you never know until you try and if you have web programming abilities, it does not hurt to invest some time in creating a useful site. Then you either figure out a way to monetize your offering, or just post ads. Then you make money on the ad clicks.
Surveys are a waste of time. Don't ever buy one of those "I will show you how I made my money" kits. Just think of something that you could put on the web that interests you and that interests others - make it a useful site that is geared to please your users.

One way to make money is to market affiliates to your social network depending on what you all have in common or the theme of your site.
There is also adsense, which is putting google ads on your website, you wood need to feed your social network through to your website for this though. Some more information on this is here

You could write articles, create videos, audio tutorials and video tutorials and get some cash through that and promote them on your website and to your social network. I found a good article about it here

I would suggest finding something you love doing and then creating a money making niche around that. This way you will enjoy doing what you do every day.
