I need someone to help me with my Tweets and keep my blog updated? - Kimberly - 02-16-2013 12:31 PM

Should I hire a company who does this, or an individual? How much should I expect to spend? I have a hosting company already, and a WordPress site already set up, but I don't have time to manage it. I don't need something done everyday right now, but I do need someone who would be ON CALL who could add an article and a picture once a week, and watch my social media sites. What kind of an income would I be looking at for someone to do this?

Ideally, I might want a young person to do this, like a sharp witted student who could come up monitor my blog and come up with some tweets that have to do with my interests that are geared to pop culture. What am I looking at here to pay?

Is this a business blog or a personal blog? If it is business, you certainly want someone who can represent you in the best light. It doesn't matter who you hire - company or individual - but they need to be able to speak with your voice.

That being said, you need to determine what you goals are with your Social Media. Updating your blog weekly and watching your social media sites could cost about $35 - $50 a week depending upon how many social sites you want monitored and what you want your Media Manager to do while monitoring.

I manage sites for a living and this is the typical amount that I charge.

Go for PR firms. They will look after such needs of yours.

Hi there- I actually work for a social media and SEO agency that specializes in these needs and I also spend some time freelancing on the side. I must tell you that the agency I work charges over $1,000 for the set up phase and then over $800 a month depending on how many platforms your on. I would recommend finding a freelancer.

Freelancers work just as hard, if not harder than the usual corporate environment and are typically available more hours and willing to work with you on pricing because they don't have any overhead costs. You get the PR firm expertise but with a freelancer cost.
