If you have an iPhone, I think the top apps for teenage girls are:
Tumblr (If you're into blogging)
Skype (Well, I guess you could just use Facetime, but I always seem to use Skye to chat with my iPhone - My friends are able to talk to my from their laptop webcams that way)
Shopping apps (American Eagle, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, etc.) - You'll find out about in-store discounts faster through the app notifications,
Find iPhone (Incase you lose your iPhone and can't find it)
Youtube
FML (For a good laugh)
Netflix, Redbox, Hulu
Camera effect apps (I have nearly 10 on my iPhone right now!)
Dictionary (Maybe I'm just a nerd on that one...)

It depends on what you want. There are apps for style, games, business, you name it.
You can choose the app based on its ratings.
