My new laptop is running AVG after I uninstalled Norton Anti Virus thinking it was the culprit slowing down my browsing. I've updated flash and java but for some reason facebook is especially slow in loading picture pages. I browsed facebook on my desktop right after using my laptop from same connection (both wired), and that was fast. Why is solely my laptop having problems with facebook. I'm even on a university's connection now and it's just as slow.

get mozilla. get a faster connection. if youre using wireless find a place for your laptop that has a stronger connection.

There are MANY reasons for computer slow downs:
not enough memory
too many programs starting up with windows at boot up time
too many junk files
too many restore points
Clean windows registry can speed up the computer.
Over time, you install new programs, uninstalled unimportant programs, update software's, install new devices,
download files from the web, etcetera, hence embarking all records in the registry system.
This is normal, but it is not wise to leave it untouched.
Once in a while, you have to check and remove files that are no longer in use to maintain the speed of your PC.
