i mentioned someone in a tweet on twitter and a while after (1) apeared in the tab but then disappeared and the tweet is blue, does this mean the person mentioned has replied or what? thanks x

I see you're new to twitter. You will just know when some one does as they will not know you or ever meet you but you will know when they look at your tweet young one.

On the right hand side, click on the mentions section, which will be @Your name.
If my name is Tobi_Is_Fab, I would click on @Tobi_Is_Fab to see where I was mentioned.
