So, I've recently started blogging. And I absolutely LOVE it! My blog is a work in progress, but the issue is I want to reach people. See, the mission of my blog is to make people smile. I want to share my experiences, with the hopes of showing people that they're not alone.
But the problem is, I don't know how to advertise. I currently only have 1 follower. I do share my posts on my Facebook, but what are some other ways to get my blog "out there"? I use Google plus. I'm pretty new to the blogging world, and I'd really appreciate some advice!

Find message boards with similar interests that allow you to post links to your blog.
Post a description and link to your blog on Facebook and Twitter.
Tell your friends and family
Add your blog link to Google and other search engines
Google for how to get your blog noticed or getting the word out on your blog and read up on what other people have done.
