Should I create my own hashtag on twitter? - Stephen - 02-18-2013 02:47 AM

I have a small business and i heard it will be better to have your own hashtag, so you can stand out. Is that true? My business is http://www.smdaba.com

Go for it. You don't really have to "create" a hashtag. Just type #smdaba in your post, or whatever else you want it to say, and bam. Whenever someone searches for smdaba your posts will show in results. Super easy.

If you're talking about creating a twitter account, then go for that, man. Signup is quick.

Hashtags are a competitive business but if used in the correct way they can be a fantastic research tool as you look for potential clients/customers on Twitter. There are a few blogs out there which tell you how businesses can utilise hashtags. I usually go to http://www.mintonlinemarketing.net/mint-blog/ to get my info as it's not too full of jargon and is pretty easy to understand. There's a couple of recent hashtag blogs that I think will help you!

Good luck with your business!
