I came across a app called cocoppa on itunes which lets you have personalised app icons for facebook twitter etc...
Ive looked everywhere for a one like it for android but no look
The cocoppa app is not in the play store by google btw.

You can install different launchers (Nova launcher or Apex launcher) and then install custom icons for those launchers. Other than that, I'm not that knowledgeable about it. Hope this helped.
