It sounds wrong hearing the statement... Let me explain...
I met this girl about 8 years ago through a mutual friend, i got to know her and the usual stuff, nothing out of the ordinary, but one of my best friends started dating her within that same year. (they didn't even know each other before)
They dated for afew years and things turned ugly between them. Years after their breakup, i was catching up with her (as we knew each other before my friend did) w got to talking about relationships and such in general and i ended up confessing how i secretly really liked her since i very first met her but i could never tell her, especially now since everything that went ugly with her and a friend of mine. She blushed, and was surprised at my confession, saying why can't guys be like me ect... But then asked me,"but wouldn't it be awkward because of everything" its weird now, cus fter all this talk w still keep in slight touch over social media, but i still secretly have a huge crush on her.
Is this wrong?
How would you react to this?
I'm in my mid twenties.

.Not in my book.Might be an idea to let your friend know what you're thinking.Not that you need his approval.Only to put him in the picture
