I keep trying to send the code to twitter from my phone to verify my number but it keeps saying that the message cant be sent. does anyone know why?

You need to log in and go to http://twitter.com/devices, like you're probably already doing. Disable your phone completely. Then log out, log back in and try again. Send the code to the short address, not the entire address.
If I remember correctly, it doesn't send a verification text so don't worry about that. Just text a test tweet to the 40404 number, and check online if it went through.

I do not know but if your still having trouble i found a good guide for twitter that helps out with all sorts of things on twitter. I am not sure if it answers your question but i think it does give it a look here is the link
