How can I change teh title, description, and metatags on my homepage from wordpress so every page doesn't have teh same title desctiption and metatags? Is there anyway to get links to my site? Does facebook or any other social media count if someone post my link on another wall? Thank you for all your help and feedback!

Providing you have your own standalone version of wordpress (in other words not using wordpress.com)
you can use a plugin. Do a search for seo plugins. There are several. I like Platinum SEO and it will allow you to change tags on a post by post basis.
If you write good content, you will get links. Don't make the mistake of posting your blog content to other peoples walls or anywhere else on the internet for that matter. Linking is ok but don't be a spammer!
